Summary
DEL-JEN
HSE provides Occupational Safety and Health management
oversight for each specific DEL-JEN Group.
Duties/Responsibilities
Effectively
manage the Group safety resources, provide guidance
and establish priorities for implementing safety and health policies,
standards and procedures to ensure efficient use of resources used to
accomplish long and short term safety goals of the company;
Formulate,
recommend, and evaluate policies, procedures, and
standards to ensure Group safety practices are consistent with
prescribed laws, standards and DJI goals and that they effectively
result in safe working environments and in achieving long and short term
safety goals;
Review
and evaluate Group activities for conformance with
prescribed policies, standards, and procedures and recommend necessary
corrective action(s) to effectively and efficiently achieve conformance
with company safety standards;
Conduct
independent reviews, audits, assessments and surveys of
Group operations and facilities to ensure safe workplaces, conditions
and practices that achieve constant improvement in safety results that
meet or exceed safety goals;
Develop
and conduct safety and health training and orientation for
DJI location compliance with policies and procedures that result in
employees performing their duties safely and in eliminating unsafe
conditions;
Assist
with workers compensation, auto and general liability
insurance claims management for proper follow-up and closure to assist
in achieving the best possible results on each claim;
Conduct
training at required projects to ensure proper understanding
and execution of DJI safety policies and procedures that result in
employees performing their duties safely and in eliminating unsafe
conditions;
Maintain
clear, complete, timely and accurate documentation and
audit reports so that management can efficiently execute company
operations in a safe manner;
Track
and trend leading safety indicators to assess safety results
and to provide a basis for recommendations to the HSE Director for
improvements in the company safety program so that safety goals can be
achieved.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s
Degree and three years experience in related field or
Associate’s Degree and five years experience in related field.
Demonstrated
working knowledge of national consensus safety
standards to include CFR 1910, 1926 & 1940, NEC, NFPA, ANSI, etc.
required.
Current
OSHA certified instructor in either general industry
or construction required.
Additional
Qualifications
Extensive
experience in DoD operations highly preferred.
Travel
Requirements
This
position will require extensive travel (up to 75% per year)
to all DEL-JEN sites to perform duties.
